Spring Camp - the Rapid Arrows
From the 28th to the 31st of May 2024, the Spring Camp of the Czech School Without Borders took place. We met at Victoria Station, from where we took a train to Ockley. At the station, a minibus was already waiting for us, which gradually transported everyone to a picturesque historic mill, our home for the next four days.
The children were accommodated in rooms of 3-4. From the first day, our wonderful cook Soňa prepared meals for everyone. The children came back for seconds and even thirds!
Throughout the four-day adventure, we were accompanied by the boys from the Rapid Arrows, who taught the children many important things that subsequently helped them solve the mystery of the old mill. At the camp, the children enjoyed activities such as solving ciphers, building forest houses, searching for clues in the woods, a nature walk, a bravery trail, creating with polymer clay, tie-dyeing clothes, making their own robots, sports activities, creating comics, and much more. The camp also featured the traditional campfire with a guitar.
Four strong teams successfully tackled all the prepared challenges and together unveiled the mystery of the old mill. The children learned many new skills at the camp, but most importantly, they gained unforgettable experiences.
